Welcome,

We stand for all things genuinly worthy of joy and brightness. These resources humbly attempt to be thoroughly Trinitarian, Incarnational, & Apostolic, to celebrate truth and beauty, to encourage Christians to be worthy of the Cross of Christ, and to stand against that which is opposed to grace.

Here's what's new:

I pray that the words that I speak and write may honor God and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, through the help of the Holy Spirit. After careful deliberation, I've decided upon the following taxonomy for the content I am presenting here.

Athelney Chapterhouse

Athelney Chapterhouse Vol. 1

Athelney Chapterhouse is a Trinitarian cultural journal celebrating the stouthearted sacramental life hid with Christ in God. For early Christians, whose ancestors had only been servants of Thor and Woden a generation or two before, Life in Christ was experienced as the victory of the Lord over the old gods and demons. Athelney Chapterhouse is dedicated to the vision of Christ as High King of Heaven & Archvictor over the power of sin and death.

We are committed to the maxim that reminds us “Tradition without truth is just the antiquity of error."

The Advent issue of Athelney is now available!

Flanging Shaw

King Alfred told many stories in Athelney to encourage his men. Here is a collection of stouthearted poetry and stories of wonder, brightness, & noble adventure.

"In this old manor of Flanging Shaw—the green wood clinging to the hillside—Kynewulf had watched the thegn's little daughter Mildryth grow up from her prattling childhood. At each return from his wanderings it was still, 'Why, elfkin, how you have sprung; and flowered too!' and at each departure there was the same laughing farewell, 'Kiss me ere you go, and I will kiss you when you come back!' "

The Coverdale Psalter

Coverdale's translation is from the Hebrew & my personal favorite.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
