Insisted on the "Synod of Bethlehem" aka Synod of Jerusalem (1672) that the Non-Jurors did not accept. They considered this a form of ecclesiastical imperialsim, un-catholic imposition of a local council as though it were ecumenical. Under the proposed reunion, the English Bishops would be concecrated by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
